Team building programs are available - with advanced reservations only - for groups of four or more at Brownstone Park in Portland, Connecticut. A team of four makes up one team, so if you want to have your own challenge event, you’ll need eight people; two groups of four.
If you only have four, you are still encouraged to run our challenge course and results will be posted online so you can compare your time to other teams.
Team building programs require the purchase of appropriate park entrance fees at either individual or group rates.

| Guts & Glory Quarry Challenge Course* - Our “Survivor” type course features both land and water based activities with various levels of physical and mental challenges requiring each individual to learn to have faith in themselves and their team. The course is set up as a head to head competition of teams made up of eight to 10 people that require teams to strategize and work together. The course can be customized to fit your group’s requirement. This is a fun, fast-paced activity and is ideal for adding team spirit. The challenge course is approximately 45 minutes per set of two teams. | $15 |
| Raft Building* – The Raft Building challenge is an exciting team-building activity were your group will learn to enhance their communication skills and demand a "team mentality". Teams will need to find common ground using “active listening” and ways to provide effective feedback to build their own raft and then race it on the quarry. Raft building focuses on real business skills by challenging traditional problem solving, encouraging cooperation and working under pressure. Teams use ropes, planks, oars, flotation devices and plastic barrels to build a raft and win the race! Raft building is a ½ day activity and is facilitated by a Brownstone team member. 20 person group minimum. | $25 |
| “It’s About the Climb” – Our full day program is a unique blend of Brownstone Adventure coupled with engaging skill building activities. Your team will be energized and challenged while participating in group activities and raft building challenge. All programs are customized to meet your objectives and to assure the most effective training possible. Our experienced facilitators have exceptional skills when it comes to focusing people on what they have in common and helping them to move forward with positive, realistic goals that they can all agree upon.
