A Vintage Dive will be planned for June 20-22 at the Quarry. This will be headed up by members of the Northeast Diving Equipment Group, The Cultural Reachers Divers, Long Island Sea Searchers Dive Club and members of the Historical Diving Society. Equipment will be available for all to try from the US Navy MK V, commercial diving equipment, shallow water diving helmets and a some vintage SCUBA equipment. The team plans to have the first divers in the water by 1 p.m. on Friday. We will dive all day on Saturday and Sunday we will shut down about 2:30 p.m. to tear down all the equipment.
A $25 donation will be collected from divers to help defray the costs of organizing the event. All divers will be required to tend another diver before their dive to get familiar with the equipment.
