The quarry is conveniently located 20 minutes south of Hartford in Portland, Conn., across the Connecticut River from Middletown.

From Route 9 North or South in Middletown, proceed eastbound over the Arrigoni Bridge (Route 17) and take your first right onto Lower Main Street. Continue to the end of the street and take a right on Brownstone Avenue; proceed under the bridge. The main quarry entrance will be on your right after you pass Silver Street. Note: When coming over the Arrigoni Bridge, follow the signs to the park, do not take a left onto Silver Street.
