Brownstone Exploration & Discovery Park is now open to swimmers on weekends. Our New Aqua Tower with slide has been installed and is proving to be a lot of fun!
Swimming Area Rules
- Life jackets or wetsuits must be worn at all times while on docks or in the water.
- No swimming under docks or under inflatable structures
- Coast Guard approved life jackets are permitted. No other flotation devises are allowed. A lifeguard must approve all life jackets.
- No backwards dives, jumps, flips twists or sit-drops.
Inflatable Tower: No more than two people on structure at a time, Area in front of ladder, slide and around the launcher must be kept clear.
Prohibited at all times: running, dunking, pushing, hanging on ropes, profanity and horseplay.
DO NOT SPEAK TO OR DISTRACT ON-DUTY LIFE GUARDS.
Direct non-emergency questions to the head guard or other staff members.
Disciplinary Policy:
- 1st offense – Warning from lifeguard;
- 2nd offense – Sitting out of area 15 minutes;
- 3rd offense – Ejection from the park.
Serious offenses may result in immediate and permanent suspension of park privileges for the remainder of the season for any individual who is in violation of the rules.
