Challenge Courses


The Challenge Course - and all of it’s “Survivor-type” courses - are without a doubt some of the most fun that you can have at the park with four friends. Your adventure through the course is timed, and results are posted at the bottom of this page.

Here is a description of the current course - Alpha.

Four team members start tied together at the water’s edge and move through the log crawl and then up and over the six foot wall. Remember, up through this point you are tied together.

Next, don life jackets - you can wear wet suits instead - and move up to the top of the cliff near the park’s Tower. Each team member jumps from the cliff and quickly swims out to a waiting kayak one at a time.

One team member is selected to board the kayak and tow the other three team members out to a set of barrels.

One team member is selected to swim underwater to unclip the barrel from it’s mooring.

The team then drags the barrel while swimming across part of the quarry to the peninsula point where the team competes in a water brigade. After the water brigade is completed, one team member is selected to sprint across the main peninsula dock to the finish.

Your team of four can register to race Saturday and Sunday starting at 1 p.m. (through Labor Day Weekend) and the results will be posted here on this page every week. We’ll post a running list of the best times for the existing course. A new course will be created on a frequent basis to keep things interesting for the competitors.

Private groups that are interested in setting up a competition can contact us to arrange an event during your visit.
